What files can I share in Flow?

Pretty much anything! Send webpages, images, videos, notes, and files. Share single files or multiple files at once. Instantly access shared content on any of your devices in Opera GX. It’s perfect for quick, easy file sharing.

How to set up Flow in Opera GX

Open Opera GX on your desktop. Click the Flow icon in the sidebar to reveal a QR code. Scan the code with your Opera GX mobile browser. Now your devices are linked.

If Flow is not visible in your sidebar, click the three-dot icon at the bottom of your sidebar and make sure that Flow is enabled there.

Connecting mobile and desktop

You can easily connect your phone and desktop GX browsers with Flow. Open Opera GX on desktop and click the Flow icon in the sidebar to reveal a QR code. Open the Opera GX browser on your phone and scan the code.

Your devices are now connected. Share files, links, and notes without extra logins or passwords!

File sharing in Flow

Sharing files with Flow is simple. No need to use cloud storage or pay for other services. Once connected, just open Flow and click the upload button to add a file. The file will only be shared in Opera GX on the devices you’ve connected. It’s fast and free.

Sending in Flow

Flow makes it easy to send stuff. Tap the Flow icon next to the address bar to send a webpage link. Highlight text on a page and click Send to Flow. Open Flow in the sidebar to send notes. Click the upload button or drag and drop files into Flow to share them.

Receiving in Flow

Receiving files in Flow is super quick. When you send something, a notification badge appears on your connected devices, and shared items appear in Flow with details and timestamps. Interact with content directly: Play videos, preview photos, or open files. Shared content deletes after 24 hours, but you can clear it anytime.
