Terms and Conditions - Opera Fandom Contest

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW OR REGULATION. PARTICIPANTS MUST BE AT LEAST THE AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR JURISDICTION AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.

2. AGREEMENT TO RULES, TERMS OF USE AND PRIVACY NOTICE

Any personal information collected from Entrants in connection with the Opera Fandom Contest (“Contest”) will be used by Opera and its affiliates in accordance with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy. By participating in the Contest, the entrant (“Entrant” or “you”) agrees to be bound by the Official Rules (“Rules”) of this Contest.

3. ELIGIBILITY

Please note that Opera Fandom Contest is made available only in the United States of America, and therefore only people who (i) are residents of aforesaid jurisdiction, and (ii) are the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry, are eligible to enter.

Employees, officers, and directors of the Sponsor or Promotional Partners, including their parent, subsidiary, affiliated or related companies, and all other entities associated with the creation, administration, promotion, or fulfillment of the Contest, including each of their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related companies (collectively, the “Contest Entities”), and each of their immediate family members and persons residing in the same households of such family members are not eligible to enter or win the Contest.

Eligibility is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Your participation in the Contest may be discarded if we determine that it would be unlawful according to the laws of your jurisdiction.

4. CONTEST PERIOD

The Contest Period begins on June 12th, 2026, and ends on July 8nd, 2026. Submissions provided by Entrants after July , 2026 will not be taken under consideration for this Contest by Sponsor. The Sponsor's computer will be the official clock for the Contest.

5. HOW TO ENTER

Entrants can participate in the Contest in two ways:

a) by submitting their application at opera.com/lp/fandom. In order to do so, the Entrant must submit the following:

  • Their valid email address
  • Full name
  • A short creative text no longer than 500 characters OR a photo OR a video no longer than 3 minutes. that describes the Entrant’s best football memories / fan moments. The creative text or photo or video will be the only factor taken into account for the Winner selection. The file should be up to 10MB in PNG or JPEG format.
  • Their consent to receive marketing communication from the Sponsor via email

b) by submitting their application on social media. In order to do so, the Entrant must:

  • Post a short creative text no longer that 120 characters that describes the Entrant’s best football memories / fan moments as a comment on Entrant’s personal account on SoMe social media platform with hashtag #OperaFandom, AND perform an additional action that varies per channel:
    • On personal Instagram, Facebook or TikTok page: Tag @opera and add hashtag #Opera Fandom
    • On personal page Threads & X: @opera and add hashtag #Opera Fandom
  • The creative text will be the only factor taken into account for the Winner selection.

Normal internet access and usage charges imposed by your internet service may apply.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND LICENSE

Entrants are solely responsible for the content they upload and distribute for Contest purposes. Entrants affirm, represent, and warrant that they own or have the rights, licenses, permissions and consents necessary to publish, duplicate, and distribute the submitted content. Opera does not endorse copyright infringing activities or other intellectual property infringing activities, and violations of the law may result in the removal of content if Opera is notified of such violations. Removal from the Entrant list may occur without prior notice. Entrants retain all ownership rights to the submitted content. By submitting content for Contest purposes, Entrants hereby grant to Opera, a timeless, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the content, including without limitation for promoting, redistributing in any and all media formats.

7. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND ANNOUNCEMENT

The potential Winners will be selected and notified directly by the Opera Team’s (the “Jury(‘s)”) subjective opinion of their creative submissions. The Winners may be interviewed by the Opera Team prior to the final selection and announcement.

The potential Winners will be notified on or about 20th of.July, 2026 via email. The Sponsor will not be liable for any potential Prize-winning notification that is lost, intercepted, or not received by any potential Winner for any reason. Potential Winners may be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability-Publicity Release or other applicable documents, including consent to share the Winner’s personal data with travel agencies for prize collection purposes.

The potential Winner will forfeit their Prize and the Sponsor may select an alternate Winner from the remaining eligible contenders, if any potential Winner:

  • does not respond within 48 hours of the first notification attempt
  • is found to be ineligible for any reason
  • fails to return a prize notification, or declines the prize for any reason
  • fails to comply with these Rules or the Terms of Use

8. PRIZES

The main prizes within this Contest are:

2 packages for a Miami football experience (Winner + Winner’s Guest for each package) that include:

  1. 2 tickets for a major international football event in Miami, July 18;
  2. Travel for 2 persons to the venue in Miami from the Winner’s location;
  3. Accommodation for 2 persons for 2 nights in Miami (July 17 - 19, 2026)

The Jury will select two Winners with the best submissions for the abovementioned main prizes. The Winners will be selected by July 3rd, 2026.

Additional prizes for Winners with next best submissions, include:

  • 2nd & 3rd place :1x Smart TV LG 86
  • 4th & 5th: 1 Google Pixel or similar Android Phones
  • 6th & 7th: 1x PlayStation 5
  • 8th - 37th place: 1 x Amazon vouchers

The Jury will be selecting the Winners of abovementioned additional prizes by July 20th, 2026.

The whole prize pool for the Contest (including main prizes and additional prizes is valued at 23K USD.

9. CONDITIONS

  • Prize collection is subject to completion of a Declaration and Complete Release and Waiver of Claims (“Prize claim form”) and provision of necessary information.
  • Winners are responsible for all local, state, and federal taxes. For U.S. residents, the value of the Prize will be treated as income for the Winner and a 1099 will be issued for any Prize valued at $600 or more. Prizes are not transferable. No substitution is allowed except at Sponsor’s sole discretion, in which a Prize of equal or greater value may be substituted for any reason. If a Prize component is not available for any reason, the remaining elements of the Prize will constitute full satisfaction of Sponsor’s prize obligation to the Winner and no additional compensation will be awarded. The Prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. Prize elements may not be separated. Certain Prizes may be shipped or fulfilled separately to the Winner directly from the Sponsor’s Promotional Partners.
  • Prize collection will not be paid out if the Winner comes from a jurisdiction where such collections are prohibited by law and regulation.
  • The Travel portion of the prize will be organized by the Sponsor in the time period between July 17th 2026, and July 19th 2026,. Exact travel dates must be selected by the Winner at the moment of application. All travellers’ personal details required for the booking shall be provided to the Sponsor or appointed travel agency no later than July 7th 2026. If the required information is not delivered on time, the Prize will not be paid or issued by the Sponsor.

10. DISQUALIFICATION

The Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any individuals who the Sponsor determines to be:

  • tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest;
  • acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner;
  • disrupting or undermining the legitimate operation of the Contest;
  • annoying, abusing, threatening, or harassing any other person;
  • offering prizes or other inducements to the Jury;
  • vote farming or engaging in any other activity that artificially inflates an Entrant’s score;
  • otherwise violating these Rules in any manner whatsoever.

The Sponsor may seek damages or other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Sponsor may modify, extend, suspend, or terminate the Contest if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the Contest is technically impaired or corrupted, or that fraud or technical problems, failures or malfunctions, or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control have destroyed, severely undermined, or to any degree impaired the integrity, administration, security, proper play, or feasibility of the Contest as contemplated in these Rules.

11. FORCE MAJEURE

If an insufficient number of eligible entries are received or if the Sponsor is prevented from awarding prizes or continuing the Contest as contemplated in these Rules by any event beyond its control (“Force Majeure Event”), then the Sponsor will have the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest. A Force Majeure Event includes, but is not limited to, a fire, flood, natural or artificial epidemic of health of other means, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared), or any federal, state, or local government law, order, or regulation, public health crisis, or order of any court or jurisdiction. If the Contest is terminated before the designated end date, the Sponsor will (if possible) select Winners from all eligible, non-suspect Entries received as of the date of the Force Majeure Event giving rise to the termination. Inclusion in such a selection process will be each Entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy under such circumstances. Only the type and quantity of Prizes described in these Rules will be awarded.

12.PUBLICITY RELEASE

Acceptance of any Prize constitutes each Winner’s permission for the Contest Entities to use that Prize Winner’s name, photograph, likeness, name, biographical information, statements and Prize information, including those of each Team member (collectively, the “Attributes”), for advertising and publicity purposes worldwide and in all forms of media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, without further compensation or authorization, (except where prohibited by law), and releases the Contest Entities from all claims arising out of the use of such Attributes.

13. DISCLAIMERS

The Contest Entities will not be responsible for:

  • any late, lost, misrouted, garbled, distorted or damaged transmissions or entries;
  • telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, internet, or other computer-related or communications-related malfunctions or failures;
  • any Contest disruptions, injuries, losses, or damages caused by events beyond the Sponsor’s control, or by non-authorized human intervention;
  • any printing, display, or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest.

All Prizes are awarded “as is” and without warranty or guarantee of any kind, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability).

14. GENERAL RELEASE

By entering the Contest, each Entrant, on behalf of the Entrant and the Entrant’s heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assignees:

  • releases and holds harmless the Contest Entities from any liability whatsoever, and waives any and all causes of action for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising, directly or indirectly, out of or in connection with the Contest or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, or use of or inability to use any Prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory;
  • agrees that the Contest Entities have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to any Prize, including, without limitation, of the Prize’s quality or fitness for a particular purpose or results;
  • agrees to be bound by these Rules and to waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error in these Rules or in the Contest itself, and to be bound by all decisions of the Sponsor, which are binding and final.

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

All disputes, actual or alleged claims, and causes of legal action or inequity (“Claim(s)”) will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these Rules, in connection with any Claims, judgments and awards, the Entrant waives all rights to attorneys’ fees, punitive, incidental, special, consequential damages, and to any multiplied damages. In no event will the Entrant be entitled to recover any expenses other than reasonable and actual out-of-pocket expenses. The Sponsor’s entire liability and sole and exclusive remedy will be limited to a distribution of the equivalent amount of Prizes set forth in these Rules.

16. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

If any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Rules will otherwise remain in effect and will be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained in the Rules.

These Terms are based on Norwegian law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway without giving effect to any conflicts of legal principles that may require the application of the laws of a different country. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply to these Terms. All actions or proceedings arising under or related to these Terms must be brought to the Oslo City Court, and each party hereby agrees to irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction and venue of any such court in all such actions or proceedings.

We reserve the right to make any changes to the Contest period, including but not limited to the frequency at which the Contest takes place, or cease operating the Contest at any time, without notice.

  • Users from the i) State of Florida (USA), State of Texas (USA), State of New York (USA); ii) USA UN, OFAC, EU, FATF or MAS sanctioned countries and iii) Russia, Belarus,

are excluded from the Opera Hygge Desk Contest without exception.
