আশেপাশে এমন অনেক মানুষ আছেন যাদের আমরা দেখি ভিন্নভাবে, আমরা তাদের চিনেছি ভিন্ন কোন ভালো কাজের খাতিরে। সাধারন কিছুর বাইরে গিয়ে ভিন্ন কিছু করে, অসাধারণ কিছুর দৃষ্টান্ত স্থাপন করেছে, যা দেশ কিংবা সমাজের জন্য বয়ে এনেছে কল্যাণ। আর এটাই হচ্ছে “Do more”, আজ লাখো মানুষের কাছে তারা আজ অনুপ্রেরণার নাম, বিশেষ করে তরুন সমাজের কাছে সামনে এগিয়ে যাওয়ার শক্তি যোগায় এই মানুষগুলো।

প্রতিনিয়ত অনুপ্রেরণা জুগিয়ে যাচ্ছেন এমনই এক মানুষের সাথে আড্ডায়, গল্পে সময় কাটিয়েছিল অপেরা পরিবার। তিনি আর কেউ নন রেডিও স্বাধীনের প্রাধান উদ্যোক্তা, এশিয়াটিক গ্রুপ অপারেশনস ডিরেক্টর “শ্রিয়া সর্বজয়া”। তিনি অপেরা ফ্যানদের অনুপ্রেরণা যোগাতে কথা বলেছিলেন বিভিন্ন বিষয় নিয়ে, যা হয়তো ও অনেককেই আরও অনুপ্রাণিত করবে। তাহলে আসুন জেনে নিই অপেরা ফ্যানদের উদ্দেশ্যে কি বলেছিল “শ্রিয়া সর্বজয়া”।

অপেরার সাথে “শ্রিয়া সর্বজয়ার” কথোপকথন

আচ্ছা আপু, এত নাম থাকতে “রেডিও স্বাধীন” এই নামটি কেন? আর সবাই এটি ইন্টারনেটে ফ্রি সুনতে পারছে, এটি কেন? এর পেছনে কি কোন গল্প রয়েছে?

১৯৭১ সালে মুক্তিযুদ্ধে স্বাধীন বাংলা বেতারের যে অবদান তাদের স্যালুট জানাতে, তাদের কাছ থেকে অনুপ্রাণিত হয়ই মূলত “রেডিও স্বাধীন” নামটি এসেছে। তাছাড়া আমাদের সবার মদ্ধেই যে এক ধরণের জড়তা থাকে, কিন্তু সেই সাথে স্বাধীন চিন্তাভাবনা থেকে অসাধারন কিছু করার যে প্রচেষ্টা থাকে, আর তা থেকে যেন সমাজে একটা পসিটিভ একটা পরিবর্তন আনতে পারি সেজন্যও “স্বাধীন” নামকরন হয়েছে। আর রেডিও এমন একটি মিডিয়া যা সহজে সবার কাছে পৌঁছানো যায়, তাই এটিকে আরও পোর্টেবল করতে ইন্টারনেটে মাধ্যমে আরও ছড়িয়ে দিতেই ইন্টারনেটে লাইভ স্ট্রিমিং এর ব্যাবস্থা করা হয়েছে।

এখন সবার হাতেই মোবাইল ইন্টারনেট, এতে সহজে কানেকটেড থাকতে পারছে সবাই। যেকোনো প্রয়োজনে যেকোনো তথ্য এখন হাতের মুঠোয়। আর ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ আমাদের জীবন আরও সহজ করছে, ব্যবসার ক্ষেত্রে সাহায্য হচ্ছে, অনলাইন ব্যবসা বাড়ছে, আমাদের অর্থনৈতিক অবস্থার উন্নতিতেও, দেশকে এগিয়ে রাখতে অবদান রাখছে।

অপেরাঃ আপনার কাছে “Do more” মানে কি?

“Do more” মানেই মনে হতে পারে হয় অনেক বড় কিছু, এভারেস্ট জয় করে ফেলার মত। আসলে কিন্তু তা নয়। প্রতিদিনের জীবনযাত্রায় একটু বেশি কিছু করা যা মানুশকে সাহায্য করবে, খুব ছোট ছোট কিছু চেষ্টা যা সমাজের জন্য কোন অবদান রাখবে এটাই “Do more”

অপেরাঃ অপেরা মিনি ব্রাউসার সম্পর্কে আপনার মতামত কি?

আমি আমার চারপাশে অনেক মানুষকেই দেখেছি অপেরা মিনি ব্যবহার করতে, তারা বলেছে অপেরা মিনি ডাটা সেভ করে অন্যান্য ব্রাউসারের তুলনায় বেশি। কম খরচে বেশি ডাটা ব্যবহার করা যায় অপেরা মিনিতে, বেশি ব্রাউস করা যায়। যা “Do more” এই চিন্তার সাথে অনেকটাই মিলে যায়।

Whether it is a student striving to get better grades in their next test or an employee pushing their boundaries in hopes of a promotion, people tend to do more when they want better results. In an empowering initiative to celebrate these efforts, Opera is providing a unique platform called “Do More” for people who want to share their experiences and empower people to go beyond and do more.

On 9th August 2016, We had the wonderful privilege to chat with Sriya Sharbojoya, the mastermind behind Radio Shadhin and the Operations Director of Asiatic 360. Let’s find out what she had to share.

Why did you choose the name “Shadhin” (independence) for the radio station?

When we started the radio station, we were inspired by the revolutionary ‘Shadhin Bangla Betar’ and the role it played during 1971. Hence, the name serves as a tribute to its contributions. Moreover, the word “Shadhin” also denotes the philosophy by which Radio Shadhin stands and that is the ‘emancipation from mental slavery’. It is about giving people the independence to think out of the box and break free from the barriers imposed on them by society.

One of the specialties of Radio Shadhin is that it is available online for streaming. What is its purpose?

I think one of the biggest powers of radio is that it is the only mass media platform that can stay with us no matter where we go. In order to make this media even more accessible, we made the radio station available for online streaming.

What do you have to say about the role of mobile internet in Bangladesh? Is it important?

Of course, it is extremely important. Internet lies in the palm of people’s hands. It is because of mobile internet that people are connected with their friends, hobbies or loved ones. Apart from this, the internet also helps people to become more independent, whether financially or socially. For instance, a girl who knows how to bake can now open a Facebook page and start an online business. Mobile internet has the ability to take our country, economy, as well as society forward. But we should be careful about its usage. As conscious netizens, it is our duty to remain vigilant regarding security issues and people’s privacy. If used responsibly, this technology has a huge potential in our country.

What according to you is “Do More”?

We often associate the words “Do More” with big accomplishments such as climbing Mt. Everest. But, I don’t think this should be the case. According to me, “Do More” talks about a philosophy through which we can make small changes in our everyday life. This may be something as small as urging people to not litter the streets or to lend someone a helping hand. We can have a better society if we practice this philosophy in our everyday lives

Do you think Opera Mini is a browser that does more?

Opera Mini helps people become more net efficient as it saves a lot of data. Therefore, people who are on a budget while using the internet can actually get more out of it and browse more. It is a great tool for people who aspire to do more for society or their career as it helps them to be more connected.
