Disabling referrer logging

When you follow a link on the web, Opera normally sends information to the web server about the site that you last visited before you jumped to the current one. This allows webmasters to analyze how people find their way to his website.

If you do not want to reveal this information, you can disable it. Go to Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Network and remove the check mark in the "Enable referrer logging" box. Note that some sites require that Referrer Logging is enabled, and disabling this setting might cause problems, especially on sites that require you to log in.
