Using Thunderbird with Opera

Follow these steps to make Opera use Thunderbird for composing e-mails:

  1. In Thunderbird, go to Tools > Options > General
  2. Check "Use Thunderbird as the default mail application"
  3. Click "OK" to save your changes
  4. In Opera, go to Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Programs
  5. Select the "mailto" protocol in the list, and click the "Edit" button
  6. In the "Protocols" dialog, select the "Open with default application" option
  7. Click "OK" to save your changes
