Where are bookmarks and other settings stored?

Opera will store its settings according to the platform it is installed on. For information about the paths Opera is using to store user settings, please open the Help > About Opera menu in Opera.

NOTE: Make sure you are editing the correct file if you need to edit a file manually to change a setting in Opera! Also make sure you close Opera before you edit and save any files.

The Windows version of Opera will store its settings depending on what you choose when you install Opera. If you chose "Only use a single profile for all users", settings are stored in the profile directory under the Opera installation directory.
