Loading bookmarks using nicknames

An easy way to quickly load bookmarked documents is to use the nickname facility.

When you create a new bookmark (Ctrl+T), enter a one-character nickname, such as "n" for your favorite News site, or "s" for your favorite sports site. You can also use characters like ~, `, !. To retrieve that document, press Shift+F2 and "n". Your news site will then be loaded.

You can also use words as nicknames. To retrieve a document press F2 and type your nickname, then press enter. You can have more nicknames this way, but it is not as quick as using only one character.

Opera will load the bookmarked page immediately as soon as you have typed in enough of a nickname to differentiate it from the others. For instance, suppose you have assigned two nicknames, "n" and "ne". To go to the first one, press Shift+F2, type "n" into the dialog box, and then press Enter to show that you are done. When you want to go to the other site, you can just type "ne" into the dialog box without hitting Enter afterwards.
