What is the maximum length of a URL that Opera will accept?

There is no hard limit to the URL length that Opera can handle.

However, if you try to retrieve documents using URLs that are longer than a few hundred thousand characters, Opera may become less responsive while the document is being retrieved. Also, many web servers do not support URLs longer than a few thousand characters.

We advise web developers to avoid using extremely long URLs.
