About Opera's Panel (previously called Hotlist)

Opera has a sophisticated Panel (from version 7.50 ->), previously called Hotlist (7.23 and older). The Panel is where you organize your bookmarks, access your e-mail client, contacts, your custom panels, etc.

You can toggle the Panel on and off with the F4 key. You can also put a Panel button on the Main bar: Go to View > Toolbars > Customize.... From the dialog box, choose tab "Buttons", then "Browser", and drag the button "Panels" to the Main bar. If the Main bar is not visible, you can enable this from View > Toolbars > Main bar.

You can activate the Panel for keyboard navigation by pressing the F7 key. It can either be docked (attached) to the left or right side of the workspace, or be manually resized and freely positioned in Opera's workspace. In the latter instance, it can either be "always on top" or be covered by document windows. The Panel placement can be changed from Tools > Appearance > Panels > Panel placement in 8.x and newer,View > Panels > Panel placement in 7.23-7.54 and from View > Hotlist in 7.21 and older.
