Download and Install

Download Opera

  1. Go to the download page
  2. Make sure that the automatically suggested version is correct for your system, or click the "Change" button to select operating system and version number (we recommend the latest)
  3. Click the "Download Now" button
  4. "Save to disk" (OK)

To be able to transfer the Opera installation file onto your phone, you can use either a bluetooth or infrared connection. For further details, please consult the help documentation for your phone/software. Alternatively, you can send the installation file by e-mail to your Messaging program. Follow these steps to install Opera:

Install Opera for Series 60

  1. Double click on the Opera installation file you downloaded
  2. The welcome screen tells you that: "You are about to install Opera". Press "Next >"
  3. Accept the software license agreement. Press "I Accept"
  4. Install Opera in the suggested directory. Press "Next >"
  5. Create icons and shortcuts. Press "Next >"
  6. The information is complete and the installation will begin. Press "Install"
    (Files are copied to your hard drive.)
  7. Opera can start automatically after installation. Press "Finish"
  1. If you already have Opera installed on your phone, open the "Tools > Manager" application and remove Opera
  2. Use Windows' infrared or bluetooth client to copy the Opera ".SIS" file to your phone. Remember to first activate infrared or bluetooth on your phone
  3. Open your inbox and select the Opera ".SIS" file. If this does not start the installation you may need to select "Install"
  4. Delete the ".SIS" file from your inbox after installation to free diskspace
    • If you have very little free memory on your device, you may get an out-of-memory message during installation. If you have already received the "Saving file to Installer" message, you can safely delete the Opera ".SIS". This should free the memory you need to continue the installation
  5. Go to "Tools > Manager" and select the Opera ".SIS" file. Select "Install" to start the installation process and follow the instructions.
    • You will get an "Installation Security Warning". Press Yes
    • The screen asks you whether you wish to install Opera. Select "Yes", and "Install".
    • If you have a 3650, we recommend that you install Opera on the memory card
    • Accept the software license agreement. Press I Accept
  6. Opera has now been installed on your phone. To start Opera, go to Menu and press Opera.
