Unable to log in to Opera Web Mail

Note that the Opera Web Mail service is now closed. All active accounts have been transferred to the new operamail.com webmail service, hosted by FastMail.FM. Existing Opera Web Mail users will receive either a free or premium account on FastMail.FM depending on what they had before. They will keep their email addresses, and can continue to log in on www.operamail.com.

To log in to your operamail.com webmail account, please enter the following information in the relevant fields on the log-in page:

  • Username: - enter your old Opera Web Mail username
  • Password: - enter your old Opera Web Mail password

If your login failed, please check to be sure that you entered correct username and password.

If you are using Opera, make sure to:

  • Accept cookies in Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Cookies
  • Enable the following: "Automatic redirection" and "Send referrer information" in Settings (Tools for Mac) > Preferences > Advanced > Network

If you still get an error saying: "Error logging in. Your current login session is expired, please re-login before using our services.":

  • Try to delete old Opera Web Mail cookies in Settings (Tools for Mac) Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Cookies > Manage cookies search for operamail and delete the cookies. Restart Opera and try to log in again.
  • Check if you have an Internet Security program that might block cookies.
