Biography

Christen Krogh, Opera Software's Chief Development Officer, has been with Opera since 2001. Until 2007 he held the position as Vice President of Engineering. Krogh's responsibility as Chief Devlopment Officer is long term strategy and enterprise development. He has given numerous lectures on a wide set of subjects and is an expert on such topics as Opera the company, its products and philosophy; browser products and platforms; browser technology; emerging technology and business models, and their future; browser security; mobile browsing; browser development; and software engineering.

Krogh received his Bachelor's degree in computer science from Glasgow University. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Oslo. Before joining Opera, Krogh worked as a research scientist at the Center for Industrial Research, as a research director at SINTEF Telecom and Informatics and as a business developer for TV2 interactive.

Krogh is married, with two children, and resides in Asker, Norway.
