Standards compliance and strong industry partnerships are launching the connected-home idea from concept into reality. Cross-platform, cross-device development, such as what the Opera Devices SDK enables, allows for a connected TV or STB to serve as a central hub in a connected home full of connected devices. With DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance), with which Opera is associated through our AwoX partnership, DLNA-compliant devices throughout the home can connect to each other seamlessly and share content simply, without the need for configuration.

Behind-the-scenes technology

Because Opera Devices SDK enables tight integration with different hardware, connecting with native functionality and allowing for hardware acceleration when available, it is an ideal complement for the connected-TV and STB space.
