These requirements only apply to Opera. Third-party plug-ins such as Flash, Java, and others may have additional requirements.
Notes: From Opera 11, only Intel-based systems are supported. Opera 9 and 10 are Universal Binaries, meaning that they run on both Intel-based and PowerPC-based Macs. This is the reason for the larger file size compared to other platforms.

Opera will run on any modern Linux distribution and FreeBSD 7 or later with Xorg installed, on i386 and x86_64 CPUs.
