Using TextEdit to View Source

To be able to view the source of a Web page using TextEdit, a slight adjustment must be made:

1. In TextEdit, open TextEdit > Preferences (or press Command-,).
2. Select the "Open and Save" tab.
3. Check "Ignore rich text commands in HTML files".

The next time you choose View > Source in Opera, TextEdit will open and show text instead of rich content.
