How to suggest new features or enhancements in Opera

If you would like to suggest a new feature or improvements to existing features, you can post your wishes and comments in the My Opera Community wishlist forum, or in the wishlist newsgroup on our public news server.

While we do read your wishes, that does not mean that all wishes are automatically added, and we cannot respond to all requests.

Posting tips

To make it easier for both us, yourself, and other Opera users to find existing wishes and discuss them, it might be a good idea to...

  • Search for existing posts or threads asking for the same thing and add your comments to existing threads instead of posting a new thread (search wishlist forum, search wishlist newsgroup)
  • Write a meaningful subject which reflects the wish(es)
  • Sum up your wish(es) briefly, with longer explanations later, if needed
  • Explain why you are posting the enhancement request. Why do you need that feature?
  • Avoid asking for a feature to be added in a specific version of Opera
