Connecting the Web with Opera for P800/P900

When you open a Web page with Opera, a connection dialog will pop up if you are not connected to the Internet. You will need to use GPRS connection and not WAP connection like the xhtml browser uses. This means that you may have to set up a new IAP (Internet access point) the first time you connect to the Internet through Opera.

You can follow these guidelines to set up a new access point on your phone:

  • Go to "Control Panel" and select "Connections"
  • Select "Internet accounts"
  • Press "New" and write a name for the access point
  • Press "Advanced" and write the access point name in the address
  • Now open a Web page in Opera and select the IAP (Internet access point) you wish to connect through. Your phone will automatically establish a connection.
