Set/stop mail check every few minutes

Opera Mail is by default set to check mail every five minutes. If you wish to change or disable this, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to Tools > Mail and chat accounts
  2. Highlight the account and select "Edit.."
    • To disable automatic mail checking, go to the Incoming tab and make sure to untick the box Check for new messages every # minutes.
    • To change the default time for checking mail, make sure to tick the box Check for new messages every # minutes and type the new time in the text field.
  3. When you are done, click "OK" to save the changes.
