Installing a new skin/button set for Opera 6 for Mac

Skins for Opera can be found in the MyOpera community customization section. There are plenty of Opera 6 skins there, and the way you can see those is that they do not have a "7" number to the right of their listing.

In order to install a skin, download the "button set" to your machine. If Stuffit Expander does not automatically unzip this file, please do so manually.

Then, click on Edit > Preferences (Classic) or Opera > Preferences and then go to "Browser layout".

Check the option to "Use External button set". Click the folder and point to the "name.ini" file inside the new skin folder that was unzipped. Now, click Apply then OK, and restart Opera. You should now see your new button set.

You can change the image in the background of Opera by replacing the file foreground.png in the skin folder.
