Enable loading of remote images in HTML e-mail

By default, Opera blocks remote images from loading in incoming HTML e-mail. This will prevent something called Web bugs, which are hidden images that spammers use to verify that your e-mail address is active and their spam messages are being read. If you would still like to enable remote images, follow these instructions:

  1. Open your e-mail view, for instance by going to Mail > Read mail
  2. Deselect View > Display > Block external elements

Alternatively you can go to opera:config#UserPrefs|SuppressExternalEmbeds, untick the box next to "Suppress External Embeds" and click Save.
