Unicode in Opera for Mac

Opera 6 for Mac supports Unicode.

Older versions of Opera for Mac uses the Mac-Roman character set, and do not support "Unicode", which is needed to automatically switch between and show some character sets for languages such as Russian, Polish, Greek, Hebrew, Japanese and Chinese.
