Using plug-ins in Opera for Mac

The easiest way of using plug-ins with Opera for Macintosh is to copy the entire plug-ins from the Plug-in folders in IE's and Netscape's installation directory on your computers boot disk to the "System/Internet Plug-ins" folder.

Alternatively, you may also copy them into the new plug-in folder inside the Opera installation directory.

If you are unsure if a plug-in has been correctly installed, click on Edit > Preferences in Opera. Then click on "Multimedia". If you click the "Find Plug-ins" button, opera will search for available plug-ins and then give you a list over the ones that are installed.

The 6.0 version supports Carbon plug-ins and have been tested with QuickTime and Flash 6.0. Under Mac OS 8.6-9.2 Opera supports both Carbon and Classic plug-ins.
