Opera

There are multiple reasons for Opera to wait while something is loading. One reason is that Opera is loading documents in the background and is working on displaying them. Opera might also wait for other applications or extensions. We have noticed problems with some extensions under 7.5.3-9.x (a common problem for the whole OS). Using the Extension Manager and disable unused extensions might help. We suspect Instant Palm Desktop to be a part of the problem, but have seen problems also with others extensions.
