Opera Software acquires Hern Labs AB, opens office in Linkoping, Sweden

OSLO, Norway - Dec. 14, 2000

Opera Software announced today that it has acquired Hern Labs AB, a software development company located in Linkoping, one of Sweden's strongest technology hubs.

Opera and Hern Labs have already enjoyed a fruitful relationship over many years, with Hern Labs being trusted with porting the Opera Web browser over to the BeOS platform.

"Hern Labs is a great addition to the Opera team," says Jon S. von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera Software, "We're getting some very talented developers, located in the world's most progressive area for mobile technologies," he adds.
