Opera enhanced for P900: Version 6.30 of Opera's Smartphone Edition Released

Oslo, Norway - Jan. 23, 2004

Opera Software today released version 6.30 for Sony Ericsson's P900, enhancing features and functionality to the popular full-Internet navigation of this handset. Opera's upgraded and free download is available on both company's Web sites. Since its first release one year ago, hundreds of thousands of users have downloaded and installed Opera on their phones.

New features include improved Small-Screen Rendering™ (SSR), scalable fonts, smooth zooming, and an added Internet search. SSR is the reformatting technology that makes the Web user-friendly on small mobile screens by eliminating the need for horizontal scrolling. The improvements to SSR with version 6.30 are specific to rendering frames and numerical tables.

Today's release is also available as a free upgrade for owners of the Sony Ericsson P800.
