Opera Software today signed up MicroBasic GmbH to increase its sales in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. MicroBasic is an electronic sales republisher and distributor with as many as 26 individual resellers in its reseller network.
Austrian, Swiss and German users can now complete the buying process entirely in German and purchase the browser with a local reseller through the MicroBasic site.
"The Opera browser already has a loyal user base in Austria, Germany and Switzerland," said Jakob Snilsberg, sales and distribution manager. "Using MicroBasic's reseller network allows us to reach both old and new users on all major on-line German software reseller channels."
MicroBasic will sell the latest versions of Opera for Windows and Linux. For a limited time customers can save more than 40% purchasing a German Opera version through one of the MicroBasic resellers.
