Opera Software Signs with RSA Security

Deal affirms Opera's commitment to best possible security for users

Oslo, Norway - May 18, 2000

Opera Software ASA, an industry leader in the development of Web browsers for the desktop and device markets, today announced a strategic relationship with RSA Security Inc., a leader in e-security, through which Opera has licensed RSA Security's industry-leading encryption software BSAFE Crypto-Ci 1.0.

The Opera browser combines key security features with fast and effective graphics and text layout, designed to give the user a better Internet experience.

RSA BSAFE Crypto-Ci 1.0 is part of RSA Security's product line of security software that allow software and hardware developers to incorporate encryption technologies into their products. Crypto-Ci 1.0 keeps information secure, and is compliant with industry standards such as SSL, IPSEC, IEEE 802.11, DOCSIS, and CDPD.
