Opera version 7.11 is now available for
download.
Opera 7.11 is faster and smaller than Opera 6, yet adds many
new features! Again, Opera has proven that less is more. Opera has
a completely new rendering engine, a revolutionary e-mail client,
and can combine SDI, MDI,
and tabbed browsing.

- Space bar navigation. Space bar is page down. After reaching the
bottom of the message, mark it as read and go to the next unread
message. If there are no more unread messages, go to the next normal
read message.

User interface features
- New MDI/SDI combination gives
users the best of two worlds by allowing surfing in both
MDI or SDI, with tabs (or
even a combination) without restarting Opera
- Extended and vastly improved drag-and-drop support
- Rearrange or move toolbar items using drag-and-drop
customization
- Move bookmarks, tabs, and MDI pages between
SDI windows
- Open or save any page link, or make it a desktop shortcut
- Rearrange the address, search, and zoom fields
- Menu items can be moved, added, or removed by editing "menu.ini"
- Support for one-click download-and-install skinning
- If the server returns content-type "application/x-opera-skin" and
the file has "zip" extension, Opera will download and install the
skin directly

Text on a webpage copied directly to a note (Copy to note,

text field where you can edit the selected note real-time. No
saving is needed.

- Speed optimization when drawing long strings that will be
clipped at the end showing an ellipsis (...)
- Avoid X-server or anti-aliased scaling of core X fonts, if the
requested size is close to the actual size available
- This should reduce the amount of blurry or aliased fonts
- Fixed a crash that could occur when a page was automatically
scrolled (toggle full-screen mode, go back/forth in history
etc.)
