Senior Account Executive - APAC Sales
Location: Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta or other location in the region
We are looking for someone who can join Opera’s Sales Team, effectively managing and expanding its relationships with mobile operators in Southeast Asia.
This involves selling Opera products, specifically Opera Mini.
Our success metrics are the following:
- Revenue through contract closing, bookings and billings
- Customer satisfaction
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and close new deals with leading operators by selling Opera products.
- Manage key relationships with existing customers throughout the Southeast Asia region, with a goal of increasing revenue per customer and the reach of Opera’s products.
- Ensure growth in revenue from existing customers.
- Sign new customers.
- Participate in trade shows, seminars and networking forums around the world.
- Foster key relationships with middle- and top-management customers.
- Engage with partners.
- Pioneer innovative commercial models to maximize profitability and differentiate our offering.
- Coordinate with Pre-Sales and Project Management to monitor ongoing delivery projects effectively.
- Gather and use feedback from customers to contribute to the product roadmap.
Requirements
- At least 5 years experience covering Sales/Business Development/Marketing activities involving operators, OEMs and VAS
- Enjoys a dynamic technical environment and new challenges
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree or equivalent in Business and/or Engineering
- Fast-moving individual, eager to win business and deliver resultsFast-moving individual, eager to win business and deliver results
- Industry experience/knowledge, particularly in telecom and VAS
- Excellent track record and proven results in selling to mobile operators in Southeast Asia region
- Technically competent with adept knowledge of embedded software-delivery projects and Internet technologies
- Experience in an international business environment involving global teamwork and cultural awareness
- Strong ability to communicate with all organization levels, including customer engineering teams and, particularly, top management for Tier-1-customers
- Creative and self-motivated team player
- Ability to travel frequently
- Keen to work with the team behind the world's most innovative and respected Internet browser
