Product tester
Location: Linköping, Sweden, se / Wroclaw, Poland, pl / Warsaw, Poland, pl
The main task of this position is to ensure that all Opera Software products will adhere to our vision - "the best Internet experience on any device". You will be a part of our skilled team of software testers and work closely with developers and project managers to ensure that we can release all our products with the best possible quality.
Responsibilities
- Tracking and following up on bug reports
- Direct communication with customers
- Writing documentation, such as test reports
- Product testing
- Writing test cases
- Writing and executing test plans
- Actively reporting defects and issues
Requirements
Candidates should have knowledge and experience in several or all of the following areas:
- Experience with more than one operating system.
- Skilled in the (X)HTML, CSS, and ECMAScript Web standards. Perl/PHP knowledge is a plus
- Good knowledge of end-user browser behavior
- Experience with regards to quality assurance, test procedures, and software/product testing
- You need good comunication skills, and you also need good working knowledge of English, written and spoken. Other language skills in addition to this may prove valuable
- BS or MS in computer science or equivalent
Ideals (one or more)
- Candidates must be structured and able to work independently. Having the ability to quickly read up on new specifications and adapt and respond to changing customer requests is also important.
