Director - Corporate Development

Location: Oslo, Norway, no

Opera is seeking a dynamic, energetic and hardworking person to work with corporate development and strategy from our headquarters in Oslo, Norway. We are interested in a person with a genuine interest in technology, as well as a good understanding of the dynamics in the IT business.

As a Corporate Development Manager at Opera, you will play an important role in the entire process from strategic planning and strategy to M&A transactions and integration/follow-up. The Corporate Development team is located in Oslo, but works extensively with our local branches around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor acquisitions, investments and strategic partnerships post-acquisition.
  • Maintain current knowledge of developments, trends and competitive environment within the global Internet ecosystem.
  • Liaise with investment bankers, brokers and consultants for acquisition opportunities.
  • Guide, lead and support post-acquisition integration.
  • Support completion of due diligence projects.
  • Identify, recommend, negotiate, structure and obtain internal approvals for acquisitions of equity investments in and strategic partnerships with potential targets.
  • Work with business units and external advisors and consultants to evaluate business opportunities.
  • Develop strategic plans and roadmaps in order for Opera to grow in key markets and product areas.
