System Developer, Internal Systems

Location: Oslo, Norway, no

Opera is seeking exceptional and experienced system developers to help develop and maintain a wide range of internal Web applications and other information systems. These systems are essential to support our rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new Web applications and other systems to improve workflow and coordination inside the organization
  • Maintain existing internal and external Web applications and other systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • English, written and spoken
  • Experience working in Linux environments.
  • Good knowledge of Web standards
  • Good knowledge of (X)HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experienced in database design and SQL
  • Strong Perl and/or Python skills

Ideals (one or more)

  • Experience with XML and XSLT.
  • Experience with Apache and mod_perl and/or python Web frameworks.
  • 3+ years of industry experience developing Web applications.
