QA Engineer- Web Applications team

Location: Oslo, Norway, no / Chandigarh, India, in

Opera Software's Web Applications team has a challenging opening for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer. The team is responsible for delivering Unite Applications, Widgets, and developer tools like Opera Dragonfly and the Opera Widgets SDK. We deliver products directly to end-users and to several of Opera's high profile global customers.

Responsibilities

Using your experience from several completed projects and from often working independently, you will drive the quality of our products. This will involve working closely with developers, developing manual and automated tests, exploratory testing, and following up on bug reports.

• Tracking issues and coordinating with developers
• Writing automated test suites
• Testing of existing and new products, including Unite Applications and Widgets.

Requirements

• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
• A quality-oriented testers's mind.
• Good working knowledge of English, written and spoken.
• Experience with Javascript, (X)HTML and CSS as a developer or QA Engineer.
• A knack for finding bugs and problems in other people's software.
