Opera is looking for an experienced graphic designer to work with the Opera Mobile teams. These teams prepare the Opera Mobile and Opera Mini Web browsers and related products and deliver them directly to end users and through Opera's global partners and customers.

You will primarily work on the look and feel of the Opera Mobile and Opera Mini browsers, but may also work with other Opera products and services.
You will work with some of the brightest software developers, in an international team, helping shape the future of the Web.

Responsibilities

• Provide developers with hands-on advice on design aspects of the user interface.
• Design graphics for the browser user interfaces, widgets, Web sites and developer documentation.
• Work with interaction designers on creating mock-ups, design concepts and final graphics.

Requirements

Excellent Photoshop, Illustrator or similar tool skills
Ability to communicate well with non-designers
Curiosity about new technology
Solid experience and interest in graphic design
Experience with design of user interface elements
Fluency in English
Keen eye for detail
Strong design portfolio, with relevant examples

Ideals (one or more)

• Interest and experience in Web design and technology
• Experience with making graphics for mass-market products
• Experience with aspects of product usability
