Senior QA / Web Specialist - Mobile and Devices
Location: Beijing, China, cn
Help us bring the Opera Browser to millions of mobile phones and other devices by leading Chinese companies. Enable people across the world to enjoy the best Internet experiences and Web technologies on mobile phones, set-top boxes, portable media players, networked TVs, Web tablets and other devices.
Responsibilities
One of your primary tasks will be to ensure that all Opera Software products adhere to our vision - "the best Internet experience on any device".
You will be a part of our skilled team of software testers and work closely with developers and project managers to ensure that we can release all our products with the best possible quality.
- Writing documentation, such as test reports
- Reporting defects and issues proactively
- Writing and executing test plans
- Managing, analyzing and maintaining bug reports
- Product testing on a variety of mobile handsets
- Communicating and following up with customers directly
- Writing test cases
Requirements
- BS or MS in computer science or equivalent
- More than 1 year of experience with quality assurance, test procedures and software/product testing
- Knowledge of network protocols
- Good knowledge of end-user browser behavior
- Experience using ECMAScript and knowledge of its specifications
- Experience with more than one operating system
- Ability to communicate in English (both written and oral). Other languages are a plus.
- Excellent skills in the (X)HTML and CSS Web standards
- Understanding of Internet security
