Senior Account Executive for Opera Devices, EMEA

Location: Oslo, Norway, no

Opera is seeking a senior professional who can effectively manage and expand the relationships with Opera’s customers in the Consumer Electronic and IPTV value chain.
This involves selling the Opera for Devices SDK, which currently powers a wide range of consumer electronics devices.

Success criteria:
- Create revenue through contract closing, bookings and billings.
- Increase customer satisfaction.
- Ensure solid growth in revenue from existing customers.
- Increase engagement of partners.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with Pre-Sales and Project Management to monitor ongoing delivery projects effectively.

You will ensure that the needs of the consumer electronics and IPTV markets are promoted and fulfilled within Product Management

You will gather and use feedback from customers to contribute to the Product Roadmap.

  • Negotiate and close new deals with leading OEMs and operators by selling the Opera for Devices SDK.
  • Engage with the EMEA partner network involving silicon vendors, middleware vendors and system integrators to contribute to end goals.
  • Pioneer innovative commercial models to maximize profitability and differentiate our offering.
  • Participate in trade shows, seminars and networking forums around the world.
  • Foster key relationships with customer middle and top management.
  • Manage key relationships with existing customers spread across the EMEA region, with a goal to increase revenue per customer and the reach of Opera’s products.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years experience covering Sales/Business Development/Marketing activities involving operators, OEMs or embedded software
  • Excellent track record and success in complex sales processes
  • Technically competent with adept knowledge of embedded software delivery projects and Internet technologies
  • Vast industry experience/knowledge particularly in consumer electronics, IPTV, verticals and embedded software markets
  • Strong ability to communicate with all organization levels, including customers’ engineering teams, but especially top management within tier-1 Customers
  • Experience in an international business environment involving global teamwork and cultural awareness is a plus
  • Bachelor/Masters degree or equivalent in Business and/or Engineering
